Paint- box Threads is a UK based company that specialises in beautiful, hand-dyed fabric and threads for the textile crafting market. We have been trading since 2015, and every thread and piece of fabric is dyed by founder Zoe Acketts, in her Herefordshire based studio.
Paint-Box threads is renowned for its wide range of hand-dyed colours. These start at the rich, intense shades right through to the subtle and delicate. We make all our own colours from extensive trials of different dye recipes, so you'll never find the same colours elsewhere. We also pride ourselves, in our colour combinations of threads and fabrics. We like to select colours for our packs and kits with a theme in mind and are named to spark the imagination.

Love of colour, textiles and stories make me tick. Luckily that’s what embroidery and craft is all about.
Up until 17 I had always dabled in stitch, textiles and the creative world, but never saw myself making a life out of it. But a degree, and MA and many years of weaving later I am so proud of where I have ended up. I love that I give people such joy with what I do.
