Angela Daymond - Kantha Artist and Tutor
Angela loves the simplicity of kantha work, the fact that you can take needle, thread plus fabric and combine it with just one stitch, the running stitch to create abstract and representational images.
With kantha work the process is much more important than the finished item. Stitch size is not important, sitting relaxing and passing the needle and thread through the fabric is the most important thing. This makes kantha suitable for a wide range of stitch ability.
Her website showcases her kantha kit designs and all the books she has published on kantha stitching. Hand dyed threads feature as well as cotton fabrics to stitch into.
Angela loves to teach and now offers many online workshops which are bookable from her website. You can also meet up with Angela, or maybe take a workshop with her at many of the Stitching shows across the UK as well.
