SG02 - Fine weight Silk

We trialling a new way of stocking our website so we can make sure our customers are able to order the colours they need. This means that while we will still aim to dispatch your order the following working day, please allow for 5 working days in case we have to dye or make up this product to fulfil your order. This fine weight silk thread has a luxurious sheen and is perfect for that special project. It is a similar weight to a single thread of the standard DMC 6-stranded. If hand sewing, this silk works well doubled to give a thicker line. It also sews beautifully through the machine – great for heirloom quilting and freehand embroidery.
Each card bobbin contains 50m and each skein contains 100m. This colour is a 'plain' but has been hand-dyed. This process gives a slight variation along its length bringing a depth to any textile piece.
